Crossreach Update for August 2021

The August Update for Crossreach is very encouraging! We are slowly building up a reserve of funds and food to supply our ever-growing number of recipients from among the needy on Grand Bahama. As always, our outreach continues to extend the length and breadth of the island, from Eight Mile Rock in the West, to McClean’s Town in the East. This month’s distribution will take place on August 21, and we will be delivering a record 90 bags to needy families.

In addition to the bags of food, we will be providing 98 children with backpacks and school supplies. This number includes children at the Grand Bahama Children’s Home, and we are very excited to be expanding our ministry with them.

As if that were not enough, Crossreach has received a very generous donation from the DAR organization in Nassau, which will allow us to give families vouchers to assist with the purchase of school uniforms. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to share with those who find it difficult to provide for themselves.

We also wish to express a very special Thank You to those who packed bags this month, as well as those who helped provide the funds necessary to make this incredible ministry happen. Kudos to you all!
